An open-ended boycott until Columbia’s paper of record demonstrates—not once, but consistently—that it will scrutinize power, protect vulnerable sources, verify claims, correct openly, and follow the story after the announcement.

This campaign does not claim every Spectator article is poor. The audit identifies counterexamples and, importantly, does not establish the broad institutional-deference hypothesis. The boycott is a political judgment grounded in source-trust concerns, uneven experiences, and publicly stated standards—not a claim that one sentiment score proves bias.
